Next stop on my road trip was beautiful Charleston, SC. It was even more stunning than I could have imagined and the rain didn’t follow me there, so that was a plus too!
First stop was of course the pineapple fountain – yes they have a pineapple fountain!! It’s along the Charleston Waterfront Park, which is a beautiful place for a walk. Actually the whole town was – the trees, the houses, the streets – just gorgeous!
Rainbow row was of course the next stop – located on East Bay Street.
Next stop was Charleston City Market, which has been around since 1804 (according to their website, but 1807 according to the below picture, not sure who to believe). It was huge – kept going on and on! The area around it is pretty touristy, but definitely worth the stop and a great place for souvenir shopping 😉

Now on to the important stuff…the food of course! First stop on the food tour was Eli’s Table. I went with the sweet potato pancakes and I am so glad that I did – candied pecans, cinnamon butter, and powdered sugar – I mean what else can I say?!? I also had some yogurt with berries and of course a sweet tea, because well I discovered just how amazing sweet tea is on my trip. I probably shouldn’t admit just how much sweet tea I consumed on this trip! #treatyourself

For dinner I went to Leon’s Oyster Shop and it was even more amazing than I thought it would be. The hushpuppies were delicious, so were the oysters, and the rosé on tap wasn’t too bad either!

That wraps up my delicious and beautiful trip to Charleston – I hope that you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for the next stop on the Picky Girl’s road trip.
